On Why Fashion is not Feminist →
What we fail to see is that we are on top of a pyramid of women, that issues global feminism must face are ugly and complicated, and that as fashionable feminists and consumers of fashion we establish demand for women to be subjugated and abused elsewhere. We conveniently forget that fashion employs thousands upon thousands of women and girls in sweatshop conditions in the developing world...
Anyone know how I can save my cat Rufus?
hiddenjumprope: He was the kitty on the cover of Avenues that one time! Anyway, my mom is getting rid of him because he wont stop peeing in places he shouldn’t: Carpet, beds, blankets… I don’t want him to go, but nothing I say is helping and my mom is dead set. I also like very bright, neon colors, possibly because I’m a child of the 80’s.

Day 1: Introduction + post a photo of yourself My name is Emily, and while I’m not too into “fashion”, I’m very interested in personal style and the ways that people express themselves through appearance. At this point in my life, I want to pare down my wardrobe to the...

Entertaining you. Making you feel less alone. Helping to give myself a voice, in a culture where unemployed people are often seen as not worth listening to.
